The bands:
Utilising drum loops, synthesizers, pianos & pads with the accompaniment of Ananda Howard’s celestial vocals, Winter Gardens take the listener on a journey through an eclectic ray of disparate sounds – cascading jangly guitar, arping synthesisers, elegant flowing keys, serene textures & a pulsing groove glued together with a tempestuous brooding energy. Think song-writing that pays homage to the soundscapes of Slowdive, the howling beauty of Kate Bush, the pulse of electronic artists like Lindstrom & Todd Terje then garnish that with the indie-dance feel of New Order.

Big Reference is a new alternative rock band fronted by Hannah Deeble. In a past life, Hannah and husband Trevor led various projects (Indigo Moss / Trevor Moss & Hannah-Lou). They’ve been signed to Heavenly Recordings, Big Life, Loose Music and worked with producers including Dan Carey, Ethan Johns and Youth. They’ve toured all over the world with Tori Amos, Ron Sexsmith, Jools Holland, Damon Albarn’s The Good The Bad & The Queen and many many more. They’ve played the Acoustic Stage at Glastonbury, the main stage at Green Man and Secret Garden Party, done tons of radio, yadda yadda yadda. They’ve been around the block and are back at the beginning again.

The Equatorial Group have been delivering their unique take on folky rocky rootsy pop to the Sunshine Coast of England for over a decade, and are currently finalising their long-awaited third album.
