SISTERAY are the four-piece alternative, punk influenced outfit from East London. Never shy of ruffling a few feathers, they were one of the two new bands (along with The Blinders) mentioned in a Houses Of Parliament debate as young engaged musicians leading the vanguard for new music, highlighting the cause for small grass roots venues.

The release of two critically acclaimed land mark EPs ’15 Minutes’ and the ‘Sisteray Said’ EP have made their star shine even brighter, including highly charged anthems sound-tracking the here and now of life in Britain today. On the former the band set themselves the challenge of creating exactly 15 minutes of music using the famous Andy Warhol quote “in the future everyone will be world famous for fifteen minutes”. One of the songs ‘3:02 Famous For Nothing’ was a tuneful rage against reality TV, so it was ironic when ‘Made In Chelsea’ later asked to use their song ‘Algorithm Prison’ with it’s “we’re not your target market” refrain on the show’s soundtrack.

Sisteray are new recipients of The Emerging Artists Fund from the PRS Foundation (in association with Pledgemusic) and will be touring extensively in 2019 including summer festivals.
